EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidenced based approached that uses bilateral simulations to process trauma. EMDR focuses on the interwoven parts of our mind and body and allows individuals to process trauma that is stored in the body. Join us as we discuss EMDR and other interventions that can be used in your practice!
Join us to learn what makes EMDR a unique intervention to help patients reprocess trauma. The last few decades of research are teaching us multiple applications for EMDR therapy. Jenn Connor Godbey, LCSW and Gray Manis, LCSW have combined 30 years of treating patients with this modality. They will
share about their own journey with this model and case examples with different presentations. Jenn and Gray are both professors in practice at UK Department of Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. Gray is an EMDR HAP facilitator and together they provide consultation group for clinicians who are learning the
model. Come for two hours and leave inspired by the power EMDR can bring to practice.
