Psychodynamic psychotherapy remains an important, evidence-based psychotherapy modality for a wide range of individuals seeking treatment. The first part of this presentation will focus on how change occurs from a psychodynamic perspective, the unique aspects of a psychodynamic orientation relative to other theoretical orientations and how to apply psychodynamic ideas clinically. The second part of this presentation will be interactive and include application of these concepts to a clinical case for group discussion.
