The Solution Focused Approach is known for being a conversations about “solutions”. However, this is not an accurate way to conceptualize this way of working and this misconception actually makes using this approach much harder. Instead, we have need to understand that tis is an about approach transformation. This means the skill a professional must master to use this approach effectively is to shift the conversation from problems towards the client’s hoped for transformation.
