Empowering Clients: Exploring Gender Dysphoria in Clinical Practice with David Pasquale-Hague, PhD,

05/27/2021 06:30 PM - 07:30 PM ET

Description

Discussing and exploring the topic of gender dysphoria in clinical practice can at times bring up anxiety and nerves for the cisgender professional. When therapists work with clients who are exploring gender identity, social or medical transition, and dysphoria, how do we best set the stage for an affirming and empowering clinical relationship?

This workshop will explore beginning skills for clinicians who are working with trans and gender non-conforming clients (TGNC).

Participants will leave the workshop with activities and skill building ideas to further strengthen their awareness and skills in this important area of affirming psychotherapy.

David is a licensed psychologist and specializes in affirming therapy for people who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. David has a background in emerging adulthood, university teaching, and has been the owner and lead therapist of Clarity Counseling in Lexington KY since 2017
